Benicia Community Park

Benicia Community Park in Benicia, CA is a large park with plenty of activities for the whole family to enjoy. Known locally as the Big Slide Park, Benicia Community Park has a large slide on the grounds. The slide is safe for people of all ages. The slide is as long as a flight of stairs. With stairs on either side they make climbing to the top safe and easy. With areas for sports, a disc golf course, and picnic capabilities, this community park is a great place to visit on a beautiful day.

 

Enjoy a Family Picnic in Benicia Community Park

If you want to celebrate an event with your family, you can reserve one of the picnic areas in the park for the day. The picnic areas are right near the children’s play area in the southeastern part of the park. There are even two areas in the picnic area that can accommodate a jump house rental. That is great option if you want to have one at your party. You must have a permit issued by the city of Benicia in order to have a rental delivered for your use. You can fit up to 46 people in one of the picnic areas, as there are seven picnic tables and a service table included in each one.

 

Things to Do in the Park

Beyond having a picnic with access to a barbeque grill, you can enjoy the disc golf course that meanders through the park or take in a game in one of the sports fields. Many local youth teams utilize the softball fields and beach volleyball courts. There is also a skate park for park visitors to enjoy. If you have a dog, you can bring your dog to the Benicia dog park located within the park for your dog to socialize. The park also has a nice hiking trail, where you can hike down to Lake Herman. Visitors also spend time in the hockey roller rink playing games.
